Three crew on the BP controlled 155,000 cbm LNG carrier
British Sapphire, built 2008, were airlifted to hospital
after a lifeboat accident.
The Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB)
has described the event off Darwin as a "serious incident."
It appears that one crew member was being evacuated
after suffering a suspected angina attack
with two others who were assisting him
sustaining spinal injuries after a tender or lifeboat
fell 20 meters into the sea.
