The 2004 built, 105,941 tanker Pacific Alliance was left stranded at sea without power after an engine failure on the 31st of October off Tanjung Penyusup, Malaysia. The vessel grounded as a result and was successfuly relfoated by 8 tugs the following day [see below]. No pollution or injury to crew was reported. The vessel was later reported to have arrived at Singapore on the 21st of November.

There are conflicting reports, but it appears the ship was loaded with 92,000 tons of crude from the fields off the East Coast of Malaya to Singapore. Operator MOL says the ship was not refloated until 2008-11-10 with 'no damage'.
