OVERSEAS INTEGRITY; Material Failure (Vessels) On: 9/19/2008 MISLE Activity Number: 3330073 Originating Unit: Sector Delaware Bay MISLE Activity Owner: Commandant (CG-5453) MISLE Activity Controller: Commandant (CG-5453) MISLE Case Number: I. INCIDENT BRIEF T/V Overseas Integrity was inbound Delaware Bay when the stern bearing overheated. Vessel anchored East of Harbor Refuge and was towed dead ship to Packer Ave Terminal. Cargo offloaded, the cause of the incident is unknown, but could have possibly been due to a line entering the CPP system due to vsl running over some crab pots and also, the shaft was hot and the bearing cool. As vessel is now in a lay up status awaiting sale, management decided not to take apart the system to correct, diagnose and fix the problem. All certificates are due to expire at the end of September and will not be renewed

USCG description is garbled but the crab pot story is unlikely. OSG got their name off this ship in a hurry 7907740 was broken up in 2009.
