The Bosphorus Strait was closed for an hour
on the 7th of August following engine problems
suffered by the 1987 built, 29,998 dwt product carrier Goldie.
Tugs recovered the tanker from the scene
of the failure at Kavak Point
and she was towed to the Black Sea
where safe anchorage and engine repairs were performed.
She sailed on August the 10th bound for Malta.
