The Korean flagged bulk carrier GREAT POLARIS has been re-floated
after breaking down while transiting the Suez Canal late last week.
A spokesman for owners reported that the ship had not suffered any damage.
The 139,650-dwt. ship, which was carrying 74,000 tons of coal to Europe,
was stranded at the southern entrance of the waterway
where it blocked the passage of at least 40 ships.
