Collision with vessel Cistude
VESSEL: Bow Eagle
VOYAGE: Brazil / Rotterdam
CARGO: Ethly Acetate and Cyclohexane
COMMENT: After initial denials, crew admitted colliding with fishing trawler,
Cistude in the English Channel on Sunday, 27th August.
The Cistude sunk immediately with the loss of 4 members of its crew.
Reports indicated the Bow Eagle was holed on its port side and has lost approx. 200 tonnes of cargo.
It is also suggested that there may be a further hole towards the vessel's stern.
This serious incident is being investigated by the French authorities.
