1994-March. Bulker DIAMOND SEA, Malta, sustains a hole of 20m in her side during bad weather in the North Atlantic. The ship, on a ballast trip to New Orleans, proceeds to Setubal where 100 tons of steel will be renewed.

Woinin account appears more likely. If the ship were loaded she probably would have sunk. But why would a Capesize bulker be headed for New Orleans?
