Sustained heavy weather damage whilst on voyage from Boca Grande, Ven to Beilun and taken to Punta del Este 25/2/94. Subsequently towed to a position 75 mils SE of Rio Grande where sank on 6/6/94. Estimated 150 tons of steel required renewal. Leakage in No 1, 2, 3, and 8 holds. Reported sections of frames missing. Internal structural problems involved frames and brackets. Frames detached from shell plate.

No 1, 2, 3 and 8 holds flooded. Ore loaded.
