ATSB found the ship was legally loaded, but alternate holds. Port people thought the ship was in poor condition, but apparently passed USCG inspection earlier. Proceeded across the Indian Ocean, weather was generally rough, but at most Force 7. Crew discovered flooding in holds 6 and 7, and diverted to Mauritius. But they were forced offshore, the crew was taken off by the Mauritius CG , and the ship allowed to sink.
