Crew was rescued by a Dutch naval ship. Pictures indicate weather and visibility was reasonably good. Water is oiled. MS was loaded and headed for Aden refinery. She was damaged on the starboard bow, but proceeded to Aden.

C Eregli, built 1974, was loaded with 16,000 tons of iron ore. She too must have been damaged forward for she sank bow first. One source says spill of 352 tons of bunkers from Eregli, but where did the oil in the pictures come from?

Apparently the Master stayed on board too long. Dutch naval source claims it was to be his last voyage, and he had his wife with him.
