19871215 Attacked by Pasdaran gunboat with RPG.

19871215 Attacked by Iranian frigate with shell fire. CTL..

when a frigate shelled the Greek tanker Ariadne off the Omani coast, the tanker was set ablaze and stranded the next day. This attack occurred a day after Pasdaran boats attacked the tanker off the UAE coast and the combination proved fatal, for she was later declared CTL but sank while being towed to the breakers.

Conflicting info. LMIU says the first attack was off Jebel Ali which, if true, would support the view that these were two separate attacks, a day apart. But doubt if Pasdaran were working anywhere near Jebel Ali. Put both attacks in the same casualty anyway. Maybe the attack element should have optional site, lat/long fields?

100,000 ton tanker leaving the Gulf would normally be loaded, but maybe she turned around after the first attack?
