ETC has this spill in the Gulf of Alaska at 14286B, and it shows up in a number of breathless local newspaper accounts, as a 700,000 gallon spills. One talks about a 18 ft crack. But CTX has found no mention in USCG records. And it does not show up in the TAPS Right of Way reenewal study.

If valid, this is the third major structural spill from this ship. See 1987-01-06 and 1981-11-30.

We need confirmation of this spill.

Later found this spill listed in a USCG paper. Says 14,285 barrels of North Slope crude. Puts location at 54.05N, 138.00W which is open waters in the Gulf of Alaska,
