The entire crew of about 30 men of the 115,721 dwt Philippine motor bulk carrier Testarossa was lost when the vessel sank in the Atlantic Ocean west of Cape St Vincent, southern Portugal after developing leakage in very bad weather conditions in lat 36.32N, long 12.10W on January 13 , 1987. The vessel which had been en route Mauritania to Antwerp with a cargo of iron ore, had a hull and machinery value of USD 7.2m.
