Four men died and another six were seriously injured
when the Saudi Arabian motor tanker Petrostar XVI
was stuck by rockets fired by two Iranian helicopter gunships
about 5 mi NE of Halul Island on April 5, 1986.
A fire immediately broke out in the engine room
and accommodation of the Petrostar XVI
which was en route from Bahrain to Sharjah
with a cargo of 17,000 tons of fuel oil.
Towed ot Sharjah, CTL and scrapped.
