Norht Korean tanker Song Bong was hit and sunk by Exocet while loading at Kharg. The latter had the unhappy distinction of being the only VLCC to be sunk outright by an air attack.

She was berthed at Sea Island, Kharg Island, when she sank along side the pier after being stuck by an Exocet missile at 12.10 pm on September 19, 1985. The missile, which had been fired by an Iraqi warplane, immediately exploded upon impact, causing a raging fire that burnt out and sank the tanker, and destroyed her crude oil cargo. Two Norht Korean seaman died as a result of the attack, which also destroyed the terminal, the flames being visible 30 miles away.

Very hard to sink a VLCC. North Korean. Possibly not inerted? Or the missile may have homed in on the Chicksans, htting midships. We need more info.
