The Panamanian steam tanker Lady T was en route from Kharg Is to Aden, carrying 50,000 tonnes of Iranian crude oil, when she was attacked by an Iraqi warplane 65 mi SSE of Kharg Is at 6:30 amm on March 14, 1985. The Exocet missile struck the vessel in the engine room and accommodation, which immediately caught fire following the explosion, leading to the 27 man crew abandoning ship. CTL.
