On March 6, 1985, while the one year old Russian motor tanker
was loading a cargo at the Baltic port of Ventspils,
she sank following a massive explosion and subsequent fire.
One crewman was killed and another five injured,
while hundreds of windows in the port buildings were blown in
by the force of the blast.
The wreck was subsequently refloated
and cut into several pieces
after having been declared a CTL.
