Exocet, fixed wing, 3 killed, CTL. The Cypriot ULCC Minotaur was wrecked 40 mi SW of Bushehr Island in one of the closest attacks to the coast by a Super Etendard.

While proceeding in ballast from Fujairah to Kharg, the 386,343 dwt Cyprus steam tanker Minotaur was struck in her engine room by an Exocet missile fired by an Iraqi warplane when about 40 miles S of Kharg in lat 28.35N, 50.17E at about 11:35 am on December 3, 1984. With her engine room ablaze, three of her 27 man crew died inthe inferno. The fire was eventually extinguished by her own crew, following which the disabled Minotaur was taken in tow for Dubai where she arrived flooded to sea level on December 8th.

Not clear what 'flooded to sea level' means. the deck of an ULCC in ballast will be nowhere near sea level even with the ER flooded.
