All 25 members of the crew of the Greek bulk carrier Kalliopi A
were safely rescued after having spent 22 hours
adrift in a lifeboat as the result of their vessel
sinking off the Pacific coast of Panama
in about lat 8N, long 88W on November 25-26, 1984
after her No 2 hold flooded.
She had been on a voyage from New Orleans for Pohang.
