The Iranian 218,587 dwt steam tanker was the subject of two separate Iraqi Exocet missile attacks while in the Kharg Island area on Oct 12 and Oct 15. The first attack was reported to have occurred at 1:30 pm, shortly aafter she had said from Kharg Island, loaded with 190,000 tons on Iranian crude oil. It was believed on this occaision she was not badly damaged but the attack three days later left her a blaze about 60 miles south of Kharg Island near Farsi Island when the missiles slammed into her accommodation and engine room.

Sounds like the 1st attack immobilized her. She made less than 60 miles in 2-3 days. The second finished her off. If so, the first missile must have hit aft.

She was towed to Sirri Island, cargo transfered, and eventually scrapped. No reported deaths, but this was an Iranian flag ship.
