The Liberian motor bulk carrier Antacus was ona voyage from Bremerhaven to New Orleans, carrying a cargo of 24,600 tons of steel products, when she sank north of the Azores in lat 40.50N,25.05W on July 16, 1984 after heavy flooding occurred in her tunnel. Her 19 man crew were safely rescued from two life boats.
