The Panamanian motor tanker Tesubu II
was on a voyage from Bangkok to Ravenna,
loaded with a part cargo of molasses,
when she reported she was taking in water in No 1 tank
in heavy seas on June 26, 1984, while off Socotra Island
in lat 12.40N, long 57.35E.
Radio contact ws then lost, and subsequent air and sea
searches failed to locate the vessel
or any of her 26 all-Filipino crew.
She was presumed to have sunk with all hands.
