Sustained severe heavy weather damage in vicinity of Yucatan, Mexico Dec 26-27 1982
Diverted to Freeport, Bahamas, where cargo discharged, then proceeded to Baltimore.
Sold and broken up.
Sustained extensive damage to hull in heavy weather
off Yucatan Penisula.
Subsequently sold for breaking up.
Has a table of salvage operations.
For Charalambos says
Large section of side plate fell off
while being towed to scrap.
Flooded opposite side tanks sufficiently to bring upright.
Continued in tow.
Probably a nominal value.
Would not be surprised if plating that gave way
was in permanent midship ballast tank,
but at this point simply do not know.
