While anchored in ballast condition in La Plata Roads, the Greek motor tanker Stolt Capricorn was severely damaged by a fire that broke out in her engine room on May 15, 1979, and then spread to other parts of the vessel. All her 34 crew members were safely taken off by the Argentinian Coast Guard.

CTL, towed to Taiwan, and broken up.
