The Panamanian bulk carrier Ken Lung was on a voyage from Visakhapatam to Japan, carrying a caro of pig iron, when she sank near the Andaman Islands in lat 12.01N,long 92.37E on July 3 1977, after developing leakage during very heavy weather conditions. All 33 crew men were safey rescued.
