On December 7, 1975, while entering the port of Fortaleza from Recife,
teh Liberian motor tanker Corona Canyon struck bottom
due to a temporary loss of steerage.
The extent of the damage was revealed
when the vessel underwent drydocking at Montevideo on December 31.
She was declared a CTL and sold to Pakistani shipbreakers for demolition,
which took place at Gadani Beach in September 1977.
