There were only seven survivors from a crew of 32
when the Greek motor bulk carrier broke in two
and sank south west of Cape St Vincent
in about lat 36.00N, long 14.00W
on March 11, 1975 while on a voyage
from Rio de Janeiro to Emden
loaded with iron ore.
The surviving crewmen were found
by the steam tanker Ralph B Johnson
after they had been drifing in a life raft for 2 days.
