Listed as Explosion.

While on a voyage from Skidka to Tema, loaded with 20,000 tons of crude oil, the Greek motor tanker Theodoros V was rocked by a fire and explosion in her engine room, about 400 miles north of Dakar on July 22, 1974. The master and eight other crewmen died as a result. Numerous Russian vessels in the area went to her assistance, bringing the blaze under control, but they had to abandon the sinking vessel, which was last reported partially submerged in lat 21.08N, 18.41W on July 24.
