This may be the earliest known report of a tanker spill with volume. Ship was built in 1879 (some say 1880) so predates Gluckauf, probably converted to bulk. At the time of her loss, she was an 1821 GRT Shell ship. Most sources say trip was Borneo to Melbourne, some say Sydney to Melbourne. So she may have part discharged in Sydney. One source puts the tod at 0700.

Casualty caused a political storm when authorities refused to allow the Chinese/Malay members of the crew to come ashore.
